Supercilious = "Super" + "Silly" + "Us"

So I have noticed something about education ... specifically from my liberal arts degree ... but it is a general observation about the rewards and punishments of education and life in general. People are rewarded for extra-curricular activities. In high school you do them for credit, or scholarships, or popularity, etc. In University you do it for schaolarships, or resumes. Either way, you are rewarded for busting your ass doing something that you may or may not like to do and thus, you end up being exhausted all the time. Society rewards people who work 18 hour days .... more time = more money ... and again, you spend your whole life being exhausted. What the crap is up with that?? What ever happened to being calm, taking your time, and doing the things that make you the happiest? Why burn yourself out by grade 12 so that when you get to college all you have left are the ends of your neurons because you fried them all with glue guns and sparkle paint! WHY WHY WHY??
