For the moment...
So a few things ...
1) I was walking home from school yesterday and I passed a mother with a four or five year old little boy and a young girl in a stroller. As I walked by the little boy looked at me and said "Mom, move out of the way for that lady!"
The woman smiled at me and said, "To me your a girl but to him, you are a lady."
I had to think about this for a minute.
What a peculiar thing to say... The implications of the statement are still working themselves out in my head. At any rate, it made me smile and unfortunately left the sour sounds of the Spears song reverberation in my head for about an hour.
2) We had a "field trip" today in my summer class. We were supposed to go ( as a class) to the museum. As a result of these altered lesson plans we were supposed to show up for class a half hour early. I, as per usual, was about 2 minutes late. I arrived and was a little startled to see that there were only 3 other people in my classroom, including the professor. I quickly announced that we had "quite a showing" and that I was off to find coffee but would return shortly. I grabbed my coffee and managed to run into one other meandering student who was to attend out trip. We went back to the class and found a whopping total of 9 people waiting to leave. We all piled into a van and my professors car and headed to the museum. To top off the anti-climactic adventure. We got to the museum and the exhibit that we were supposed to see was twenty photo lining the walls of the entrance. This would have been horrendously amusing had we not all paid our admission already by the time this was discovered. We stood around and looked at the photos for about 10 minutes and then disbanded into the different displays. I went into the Polio exhibit, which was actually kind of neat. There were some orthopedic devices and photos on display and in the center of the poorly lit room stood an iron lung circa 1940. There was the most depressing music sputtering from the speakers mounted on the walls. After about 10 minutes, the overwhelming sorrow of the experience got to me and I left to find the rest of my troop. I found them in the bug room. All of the students were crowded around the display of the roaches gazing. I kind of giggled to myself and thought, "If only I was armed with my can of RAID!" lol It has always struck me as kind of bazaar that the people who live with these bugs try to get rid of them and avoid them while we decided to put them into glass cases and pay money to stand and stare at them. At any rate, I really liked the stick bugs and the "pink toed" spiders. Go figure. That was about the end of our adventure to the museum. We all piled back in the vehicles and headed home. Well ... THAT was productive!
3) I am off to Saskatchewan this weekend. It should be interesting. I am owing to stay at a farm where the main "livestock" are bees and a peacock. I have never seen a peacock before so it should be interesting. It is a 12 hour drive in 3 days so at least I will have a lot of time to read and catch up on my school work.
4) I have decided that I want to live in England. I have no idea what I will do there or when I will live there ... I just know that I want to at some point. I have also decided that I want to live on the East coast of Canada. Again ... The rationale is faulty at best and I have no game plan for getting there .... Or how I plan on supporting myself there. I just think that it would be a good idea. I think I'll probably continue with my plans to be a teacher and then maybe start writing ... Unfortunately, in order to write ... You need to have something to write about ... Guess I should start thinking about that. I would like to do some photography as well and a series of children's books that could be used for "Educational purposes." ..... hmmmm .... This requires more thought.
5) I have found a new passion for songs of a satirical nature. For those of you who find this at all interesting, I highly recommend "Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie" You can download their music for free! Who Hoo! They are a comedy troop from Edmonton .. So go and support local talent!
6) Movies I have seen lately:
King Arthur: Good if you forget hundreds of years of British History and know nothing about the story of King Arthur. If for nothing else go for the "Ice" scene. It's a gooder.
Calendar Girls: really funny if you like Brit Wit. I do .... So there.
Secret Window: a gooder .... But kinda creepy ... Why are all writers depicted as being crazy? Perhaps I should revise my earlier statements.
At any rate, I believe that my procrastination has persisted long enough ... So back to paper writing and cleaning. Ooooh ... Exciting!

ohayou v-chan,
for writing, write something you know most about. some day i plan to write a play or a novel or something out from my experiences so i treasure my journals and i re-read them either for:
1) inspiration, or
2) a quick laugh at how dumb i used to be
people make me laugh.
i want to see "Secret Window"; i'm currently reliving my childhood when i used to gush about Johnny Depp. he's amongst my Hollywood crushes, the first one being Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones and the second being Brad Pitt. i was a young'n when i loved Johnny Depp.
I still love Jonny Depp
