Exploding peas

So I went into safeway the other day to pick up a few things. I made my way through the produce aisle and down through the jams and bakery and found myself standing between the edge of the coolers and the cereal. I could smell something funny but chalked it up to it being a safeway on whyte and faulty air conditioning. As I turned the corner I caught sight of 3 fire men putting out a couple of bags of frozen peas. They were standing in the middle of the aisle and the frozen coolers were full of black smoke. Reminder to self: Don't buy anything from those coolers for awhile. Apparently something had short circuited and set some peas on fire. It was so bizaar. I couldnt help but laugh. I had had my headphones in and apparently I have become so accustomed to sirens everywhere that I really dont pay attention anymore. One thing can be said I suppose. I will never suffer the subtle anesthetic of the suburbs. This place is never boring.

I want to be a minority .... down with the liberal majority

Ok ... so I totally just mutalated the Green Day song. But whatever.
The election is over and the libs won a minority gov't meaning that we will be back to the polls in no time at all. I just hope that the federal government figures it out before the next election. This one was bad. There was so much confusion over who was to vote when and where and how. It was ridiculous. AND to top oit all off, even with all the extra campaigns against it, we still managed to have the lowest voter turnout EVER! Why people choose to give up their vote is beyond me ... then again a lot of what is happening in the world right now is beyond me.
Anyways, enough political ranting.
