so I was sitting outside of my class today waiting for the previous class to file out and for my day to begin. A young girl came up to me and put her hand on my shoulder.
"Victoria?"
"That's me," I replied hesitant and searching my memory warehouse for the fainest recollection of her face or name.
"How'ss the degree coming along ...?" She smiled recognizing that I was still unsure of who she was, but making no attempt to rectify the situation.
"Oh fine ... you know ... lots of classes and no incentive to actually graduate. I make more money now than I probably ever will with my arts degree."
She giggle and replied, "Yeah, well the only thing my degree will be useful for is a torch to light my cigarette with."

how true this actually is ....
